Pregnancy discrimination

…for lack of a better term. A new study from the National Advocates for Pregnant Women is to release a new study examining cases of arrests, detentions, forced medical procedures, and other violations of women’s rights. Rights denied because she was pregnant. Though abortion is legal and no law (yet) requires pregnant women to follow doctors orders, stop drinking, or otherwise lose her Constitutional rights, “personhood” measures are allowing police and courts to treat fetuses as entities separate from their hosts. The study confirms fears that “all pregnant woman are threatened by such [“personhood”] measures.” Read more about it here.
