Sometimes when I get way too focused on my work, when I finish a project I start to go a little crazy and obsess over minor things or rant like a crazy person. And so I bring you questions about your toilet behavior.
A friend of mine posed the question as to why people would pee in a toilet and not flush. Up until she asked this question, I didn’t know that this was a thing. I thought my husband was just trying to piss me off/conserve water because he is from the desert. So I ask you, gentle readers, do you always flush the toilet after you pee? If not, why not?

If everyone is sleeping, I don’t always. The bathroom is right on the other side of the wall from Baby Girl’s bed, and the flushing wakes her up every time.
In my parents’ house, the toilet upstairs seems very loud when everyone is sleeping, so that one doesn’t get flushed overnight. (If it’s just pee.) It would wake everyone up.
This reminds me of my sister’s house. None of her toilets are that noisy, but her kids are just incredibly light sleepers.
Wow, I’m the only person that replied “Not at night.” Now I feel gross.
My husband doesn’t either, and neither does my sister’s family. Don’t feel too gross, or if you do, know that you’re in (gross) company.
